Light Demolition in McKinney & Collin County, TX

Cowboy Site Services does light demolition in McKinney and across Collin and Grayson County. We tear out sheds, decks, fences, cabinets, tile and drywall, then haul it all off on the same trip. Every job is quoted per job from your photos, and we don't do structural or whole-building demolition.

Most demolition jobs around a house aren't big. It's a rotten deck, a shed nobody uses, or a kitchen that has to be gutted before the remodel can start. The hard part is usually finding one crew that will both tear it out and take it away.

That's the job we do. We tear it out, load it on our 14-foot dump trailer, and leave with it the same trip. You get one crew, one quote and one invoice, and you deal with the owners, not a call center.

We're a Veteran-owned and locally run outfit based in McKinney, and we're insured. We keep demolition to the light work we do well, and we're upfront about where that line sits.

What counts as light demolition?

Light demolition means taking out things that don't hold the house up. Inside, that's finishes and fixtures. Outside, it's backyard structures that stand on their own.

Indoors, our interior demolition work covers cabinets, countertops, vanities, tile, flooring, closets and drywall on a remodel. Kitchen tear-outs and bathroom guts are the most common calls. One job we posted was a closet demo that had to be done before a remodel.

  • Sheds, through our shed removal service, with the contents hauled on the same visit
  • Decks, fences, pergolas, gazebos and carports
  • Above-ground pool removal, liner to frame
  • Hot tubs, trampolines and playsets taken apart and hauled through our backyard heavy-item service
  • Kitchen and bathroom cabinets, countertops, vanities and tile
  • Drywall, flooring and carpet, and small concrete pads

What don't we tear down?

We stay in our lane, and we'll tell you so when we look at the photos. If a job is outside what we do, you hear it before you book, not halfway through.

If you can't tell whether a wall carries weight, don't guess. Have an engineer or an experienced general contractor look at it first.

Keeping to light work is what lets us do it well. It also means you won't pay for a machine your job doesn't need.

  • Whole-building or whole-house demolition
  • Load-bearing walls, foundations, or anything else structural
  • Work that needs an engineer
  • Anything that needs heavy machinery
  • In-ground pools. We only take down above-ground pools.
  • Asbestos, including materials that contain it

How much does demolition cost in McKinney?

We quote every demolition job on its own, because a fence line and a bathroom gut aren't the same work. Size, material and how we get to it are most of the price.

Send photos and we'll give you an honest estimate up front. The tear-out and the haul-off are quoted together, and the price is firm before anything comes down. You pay at the end, once you're satisfied.

Fence lines, decks, sheds and pergolas are quoted the same way. Tell us roughly how big it is and how we reach it from the driveway.

Who pulls the permit?

Permit rules are set by each city, and they differ from town to town. Where a city requires a permit, it's usually pulled by the general contractor or the homeowner.

If one is needed and nobody else is pulling it, we can usually pull it ourselves for an added fee that varies by city.

Where do we do demolition work?

We're based in McKinney and work across Collin and Grayson County. Several towns have their own page with local details, like demolition in McKinney, tear-out jobs in Allen and demo work in Frisco.

Remodelers and builders call us too. If you'd rather not tie up your own crew on tear-out, we work to the line you give us and haul it all off.

How it works: three steps

  1. 01

    Send photos for a quote

Text a few photos of what's going, or call. You get an honest estimate back without waiting for a visit.

  2. 02

    Pick a time

Choose a time that works for you. Same-day service is often possible when the schedule has room.

  3. 03

We haul it off and sweep up

We confirm a firm price before anything is loaded. Then we carry it out, haul it off and sweep the spot.

Prefer a form? You can request a quote online and attach photos there.

“I especially loved that I was able to just send photos of my items and get a quote instantly vs the companies that want to “come see the stuff” before giving an estimate.”

Common questions

Are you a demolition company?

We're a junk removal and light demolition outfit. We tear out sheds, decks, fences, cabinets and tile, then haul it off the same trip. We don't demolish houses or do structural work.

Do you haul off the debris too?

Yes, that's the point of calling us. The tear-out and the haul-off happen on the same trip, with the same crew, on one invoice.

I already tore it out myself. Can you just haul it?

Yes. A pile that's already pulled is priced as a haul-off load, by how much room it takes on the trailer. Remodel debris, broken-up decking and old fence boards all count.

Can you take out a wall?

We can strip drywall and pull out a non-structural partition on a remodel. A load-bearing wall is structural, and that's not our work. If a wall looks structural, we'll say so straight.
