Hot Tub, Trampoline & Playset Removal
Cowboy Site Services removes old hot tubs, trampolines and playsets in McKinney and across Collin and Grayson County. We drain and cut down hot tubs when needed, take trampolines and playsets apart, then load and haul it all off. These jobs start from $515, and photos get you a quote before we come.
Some backyard items are just hard to get rid of. A hot tub is a heavy shell sitting behind a gate that's narrower than it is. A trampoline is a rusted steel ring, and a playset is a pile of lumber bolted together and set in the ground.
None of these fit at the curb, and none of them are a one-person job. We take them apart, load them on our 14-foot dump trailer and haul them off the same trip. Then we clean up the spot so you get your yard back.
We also handle the heavy indoor items, like pianos and gun safes. You deal with the owners, not a call center, and we're insured.

What we can't take
Hazardous material stays off our trailer, and so do tires. Everything else is usually fine — text a photo if you're not sure.
- Wet paint and chemicals
- Motor oil
- Asbestos
- Ammunition
- Tires
- Electrical disconnects. A licensed electrician should do those first.
- Hot tub chemicals, which are on our list of things we don't take
- Ammunition, so empty a gun safe completely
- Concrete pads or footings that need heavy equipment
Where your stuff goes
Steel from trampolines, playsets, swing sets and safes gets pulled for recycling. Anything still usable can go to area charities. What's left, like a cut-up hot tub shell or rotten playset lumber, goes to the landfill the proper way.
Swept before we pull out
Loading the trailer isn't the end of the job. We sweep the floor, slab or driveway before we leave, so the space is ready to use that day. You pay once you've looked it over.
How do you remove a hot tub?
First, the power has to be off. If the tub is hardwired, have a licensed electrician shut off and disconnect the power before we arrive. We don't do electrical work.
Then the tub gets drained. If there's a clear, wide path to the driveway, the shell can sometimes come out whole. Most backyards don't have that path, so we cut the tub down on site and carry it out in pieces.
Our guide on how to get rid of a hot tub walks through each step if you want the details.
Can you get a hot tub off a deck or out from behind a fence?
Usually, yes. When the shell is wider than the gate or can't come off the deck whole, cutting it down solves the problem. The pieces fit through spaces the whole tub never could.
Tell us the setup when you send photos. A slope, steps or a second-story deck all change the plan. Knowing up front keeps the quote accurate.
How does playset and trampoline removal work?
We take it apart, load it up and haul it off. Trampolines come down to a stack of steel rails, springs and a mat. Wooden playsets come apart from the top down, slides and swings first.
Many playset legs are anchored or set in the ground. Tell us if the posts are in concrete, because that can change the job. Our trampoline and playset guide covers what's involved.
Swing sets, climbing frames and old basketball goals come apart the same way. Hardware gets bagged, steel gets stacked, and the lumber gets loaded as we go.
What about pianos and gun safes?
These are the heavy ones that need straps, a plan and a second person on the stairs. Tell us which floor it's on and what's between it and the door.
Empty a gun safe completely before we come, and that includes any ammunition. We can't take ammunition.
Piano removal and gun safe removal follow the same plan as everything else. Send a photo, we quote it, and we confirm the price before anything moves. Our piano disposal guide covers your options.
Clearing out the rest of the yard
Once the hot tub or trampoline is gone, other things often follow. An old shed can come down on the same trip through our shed removal service. An old pool can go too, with above-ground pool removal.
One crew, one quote and one trip. That's usually easier than lining up separate jobs.

Common questions
How much does hot tub removal cost in McKinney?
Hot tub removal starts from $515. Access moves the final number most: how far it is from the driveway, what's in the way, and whether it has to be cut down. Send photos and we'll confirm the exact quote on site.
Do I need to disconnect the hot tub first?
Yes, if it's hardwired. Have a licensed electrician shut off and disconnect the power before we arrive. If it just plugs in, unplug it and we'll take it from there.
Do I have to drain the hot tub?
Tell us whether it's full when you send photos. The tub has to be drained before it can be moved or cut down, and we'll plan for that.
Can you remove a playset that's set in concrete?
Often, yes. Show us the posts in your photos. If the footings are big enough to need heavy equipment, that part is outside what we do.
Will you take a basketball goal too?
Yes. A basketball goal can go on the same trailer as the trampoline or playset. If the pole is set in concrete, show that in your photos so it's in the quote.
