Small Concrete Removal in McKinney & Collin County, TX
Cowboy Site Services breaks out small concrete patios, walkways and pads in McKinney and Collin County and hauls the pieces off the same trip. Bigger slabs, driveways and anything needing heavy equipment are outside what we do. Each small job is quoted per job from photos, with break-out and haul-off on one price.
Concrete is the heaviest thing in most yards. A cracked patio, a walkway nobody uses, the pad where a shed used to sit. Breaking it up is the first problem, and getting it out is the second.
We keep concrete to small jobs, the same way we keep all our light demolition to smaller work. Our crew breaks it out with hand tools, loads it as it comes up, and hauls it off on one invoice.
Your photos tell us quickly whether a job fits. If it's too big, we'll say so up front instead of taking it and struggling. We're insured, and you deal with the owners, not a call center.

What we can't take
Hazardous material stays off our trailer, and so do tires. Everything else is usually fine — text a photo if you're not sure.
- Wet paint and chemicals
- Motor oil
- Asbestos
- Ammunition
- Tires
- Bigger slabs and driveways
- Anything that needs heavy equipment to break or load
- Slabs tied into the house's foundation
- Pouring or replacing concrete
- Regrading the yard afterward
Where your stuff goes
Broken concrete is disposed of properly. Rebar and wire mesh get pulled for recycling as clean metal when they come out with the pieces. Mixed debris from the job goes out with it, the same way our construction debris hauling handles a remodel pile.
Swept before we pull out
Loading the trailer isn't the end of the job. We sweep the floor, slab or driveway before we leave, so the space is ready to use that day. You pay once you've looked it over.
How big a concrete job can you take?
Small is the honest answer. Think a little patio off the back door, a short walkway or a pad a shed sat on.
We break it out by hand, so size and thickness decide whether it fits. A bigger slab, a driveway, or anything that needs heavy equipment to break or load is outside what we do.
Send photos with a rough size and any edge where it meets the house or driveway. If it's not a fit, we'll tell you to get quotes from an outfit with heavy equipment.
What about a slab next to the house?
A patio that simply butts up to the house is often fine to take. A slab tied into the house's foundation is structural, and that isn't ours.
Our explainer on light versus structural demolition covers why foundations and footings sit on the other side of the line.
Photograph the joint where the patio meets the house. That one picture answers most of the question.
Can you take the pad after the shed comes down?
Often, yes. A small shed pad is a common follow-up to a shed removal, and both can be quoted together.
The same goes for a small pad left behind by a carport removal or posts from an old fence line. Send photos of each and we'll tell you what fits.
If the pad is large or unusually thick, that's where the equipment line usually shows up.
What does the spot look like when you leave?
The concrete leaves on the trailer, and the loose chips and dust get cleaned up before we pull out. Regrading or filling the low spot is a landscaper's job.
We care about how a site looks when we leave. On a dirt removal job, the dirt was loaded up and hauled off, the area broom swept and the driveway washed.
That was a dirt job, not concrete. It shows the kind of finish we aim for on every haul.
How to get ready for a concrete break-out
A few details up front make the quote accurate. Here's what to send and do.
- Measure roughly how big the area is and how thick the concrete looks at an edge.
- Tell us whether any of it is already broken up.
- Photograph any edge where it meets the house or the driveway.
- Move furniture, planters and grills off it.
- Show us the path from the patio to where the trailer can park.
Do I need a permit to remove a concrete patio?
Some cities regulate flatwork, and rules differ from town to town. Where a city requires a permit, it's usually pulled by the general contractor or the homeowner. If one is needed and nobody else is pulling it, we can usually pull it ourselves for an added fee that varies by city.
Our demolition permit guide for Collin and Grayson County notes which cities mention patios and flatwork. If a fresh pour is planned, ask about that permit too.

“I especially loved that I was able to just send photos of my items and get a quote instantly vs the companies that want to “come see the stuff” before giving an estimate.”
How small concrete removal is priced
Concrete is quoted per job, never with a flat number, because size, thickness and access change the work. Send photos for an honest estimate, then a firm quote covering break-out and haul-off before anything gets loaded. You pay at the end, once you've looked the spot over.
A shed teardown and a bathroom gut aren't the same work, so we don't publish one number for both. Send photos and we'll quote the tear-out and the haul-off together.Debris you've already torn out and stacked is priced as a haul-off load:
Minimum Pickup
from$189
A handful of items already set out and easy to reach.
Half Trailer Load
from$515
One emptied room, a stuffed garage bay, or a decent pile out back.
Full Trailer Load
from$759
Full cleanouts, big moves, estate jobs, and heavy remodel debris.
Common questions
Do you remove concrete?
Small jobs, yes: patios, walkways and small pads. Bigger slabs, driveways, or anything that needs heavy equipment are outside what we do, and we'll tell you that from your photos.
How much does concrete removal cost?
We quote small concrete jobs per job instead of publishing a number. Size, thickness and access change the work. What drives demolition cost explains the factors.
How do I dispose of concrete?
On a small job you don't have to take it anywhere, since it leaves on our trailer. For other options, see where to dump construction debris in Collin County.
I already broke up the patio. Can you haul the chunks?
Yes, on a small job. Send a photo of the pile so we can see how much there is, and we'll quote it before loading.
Can you take out my driveway?
No. Driveways and bigger slabs need heavy equipment, and that's outside what we do. Get quotes from an outfit that runs the machines.
