TV & Electronics Disposal in Collin & Grayson County, TX
Cowboy Site Services hauls away old TVs, monitors, computers, printers and small electronics from homes and offices across Collin and Grayson County. We carry them out with the rest of your load and pull the electronics for recycling instead of burying them. A TV or two usually fits our Minimum Pickup tier, from $189.
Dead electronics pile up quietly. An old TV in the guest room, a box of cords in the closet, a monitor nobody has plugged in for years.
They're awkward to get rid of. City bulk pickup often won't take them, and a big TV is heavy and easy to crack on the way out.
We take them off your hands with the rest of whatever is going. Send photos for a quote, pick a time, and we haul it off and sweep up.
What we can't take
Hazardous material stays off our trailer, and so do tires. Everything else is usually fine — text a photo if you're not sure.
- Wet paint and chemicals
- Motor oil
- Asbestos
- Ammunition
- Tires
- We don't wipe hard drives or destroy data. Remove or erase anything personal before we come.
- We don't repair, buy or resell electronics.
- We don't take down wall mounts or in-wall wiring. Have the TV off the wall before we arrive.
Where your stuff goes
Electronics get pulled from the load for recycling rather than buried. Anything still usable that a charity will take goes to area charities, and the rest is disposed of properly. Here's more on where your junk goes.
Swept before we pull out
Loading the trailer isn't the end of the job. We sweep the floor, slab or driveway before we leave, so the space is ready to use that day. You pay once you've looked it over.
How do you get rid of an old TV?
You have a few routes. Texas has manufacturer programs for TVs and computers, some city programs take electronics, and a hauler can carry it out for you.
Bulk trash day usually isn't one of them. Frisco, for example, excludes electronics, recyclables and large metal from bulk pickup, per Frisco's bulk trash page.
If you'd rather skip the drop-off rules, we'll carry the TV out with the rest of your load. Just have any wall-mounted set taken down first.
Does Texas have an electronics recycling program?
Yes, for TVs and computers. According to TCEQ's electronics recycling page, Texas law requires TV and computer manufacturers to offer recycling to consumers.
TCEQ points households to TexasRecyclesComputers.org to recycle a computer for free. For televisions, it points to TexasRecyclesTVs.org to find recycling options.
Under the computer program, computer equipment means a monitor, a desktop or laptop, and a keyboard and mouse from the same maker. Each manufacturer only covers its own brand.
TCEQ also says some household hazardous waste programs may accept TVs. Check with the program before you load anything up. Our electronics and scrap metal disposal guide walks through the local options.
What about the data on old computers?
That part is on you, and it matters. TCEQ's computer recycling guidance says consumers are responsible for any information left on a computer that's collected, recycled or reused.
Before we come, back up what you need. Then wipe the drive or pull it out and keep it. Phones and tablets deserve the same care.
Office e-waste and business clear-outs
Every office ends up with a closet of dead monitors, old towers and printers nobody uses. We clear those out in one trip, along with desks and chairs if they're going too.
For a bigger job, our commercial and office clear-outs schedule around your hours. TCEQ notes that businesses, nonprofits and government offices should check with manufacturers, retailers and local charities for used computer options.
Got a standing need, like a stockroom that fills a corner every quarter? Ask about a regular pickup instead of calling each time.
What can't ride along with the electronics?
Our standard limits still apply. We can't take wet paint and chemicals, motor oil, asbestos, ammunition or tires, even mixed in with a load of electronics.
For paint and chemicals, start with the household hazardous waste programs in Collin County. Our list of what junk removal won't take covers the rest.
Electronics as part of a bigger load
Most of the electronics we haul ride along with something else. It might be a garage or attic cleanout, an estate, or a move-out.
We pull the electronics aside as we load so they can go for recycling. You don't need to sort anything ahead of time.

Common questions
Will you take just one TV?
Yes. One TV is a normal job, and it usually fits our Minimum Pickup tier, from $189. If you have other junk going too, it can ride along on the same trip.
Do you recycle electronics?
Yes. TVs, monitors, computers and other electronics get pulled for recycling as we load, instead of going to the landfill with everything else.
Can I recycle a computer for free in Texas?
Often, yes. TCEQ says manufacturers selling computer equipment in Texas must offer consumers a free and convenient recycling program. Each one only covers its own brand, so look up your brand first.
Do I need to take the TV off the wall?
Yes, please have it down before we arrive. From there we carry it out from any room or floor, and we're careful with the screen on the way.
Do you take electronics from businesses?
Yes. We clear out office e-waste along with furniture, cubicles and stockroom overflow. Usable office furniture goes to area charities when it's in shape for it.
Can you take an old appliance on the same trip?
Yes. Fridges, washers and dryers ride along with electronics all the time. See our appliance haul-away service for how we unhook and walk them out.
