Mike from Cowboy Site Service removed a broken basketball hoop and old trampoline for me. He was very promp and professional. I highly recommend their services to everyone needed a clean up.
Cowboy Site Services takes down and hauls off above-ground pools in Frisco, including the liner, wall panels, rails, frame and any deck around them. We only remove above-ground pools, never in-ground ones. Each teardown is quoted per job from photos, and we're about 25 minutes from our base in McKinney.
Step one is the water, and Frisco has rules for it
The pool has to be empty before we arrive, and draining it is the homeowner's job. Frisco spells out where that water can go.
For a chlorine pool, the city's stormwater page describes letting it sit or dechlorinating before it reaches a storm drain. Running a hose to an indoor drain is listed as a proper method too. Saltwater pools go to the sanitary sewer.
Give yourself a few days for that before the teardown date. A submersible pump speeds up the last stretch.
What to send for a Frisco pool quote
A few photos tell us most of what we need. Show the whole pool from a corner, the wall and frame up close, and the path from the yard to the street.
Size and wall type change the work. So does a narrow side gate or a long walk to the driveway, which is common on tight lots.
Mention anything left in the yard, like the pump, filter, ladder or an old cover. Those can usually go on the same load.
How we take it apart
Once the water is out, the liner comes up first. Then the top rails, uprights and the long steel or resin wall come apart in sections.
Every piece goes straight onto the trailer, so nothing sits in your yard overnight. When it's all loaded, we rake the spot where the pool stood.
Steel walls have sharp edges, so we roll and stack them with care. That keeps your lawn, fence and gate free of scrapes on the way out.
Our main above-ground pool removal page covers pump, filter and ladder pickup in more detail.
If the pump is hardwired, have an electrician disconnect it before the day. Electrical work isn't something we do.
Permits for a pool teardown in Frisco
Frisco's building rules reach structures that are removed or demolished. Whether your pool needs a permit is a question for the city, so check before the teardown.
Where a city requires a permit, it's usually pulled by the general contractor or the homeowner. If one is needed and nobody else is pulling it, we can usually pull it ourselves for an added fee that varies by city.
Our demolition permits guide covers how permits work across the county.
Clearing the rest of a Frisco backyard
Playset removals out of Frisco's family neighborhoods are a regular call for us. If the kids have outgrown the pool, the swing set or trampoline is often next.
Those can leave on the same trip through our hot tub, trampoline and playset removal service. A wood deck built around the pool is deck removal, quoted alongside it.
Pool teardowns are priced per job, never from a posted rate. You'll have the firm number before we take anything apart.

Frisco tells you how to drain the pool, but not what to do with the empty one. A wall panel or rolled liner is far past Frisco's bulk pickup size and weight limits.
That's the gap we fill. You drain it, and we take it down, load it and haul it off in one visit. The rest of the city's pickup rules are in our Frisco bulk and brush guide.

Above-Ground Pool Removal in Frisco: questions
Do you remove in-ground pools in Frisco?
No. We don't do in-ground pools of any kind. Our work is above-ground pools only.
Can the pool and an old playset go out on one trip?
Yes, if they fit on the trailer together. Send photos of both and we'll quote them as one job. Our above-ground pool removal guide covers prep for the day.
Will you fill in or regrade the spot in my Frisco yard?
No. We rake up after the teardown, but regrading or new sod is a job for a landscaper. Other backyard work we do here is on our Frisco service area page.
