Furniture Removal in Collin & Grayson County, TX
Cowboy Site Services removes old couches, sectionals, mattresses, dressers and whole bedroom sets from homes across Collin and Grayson County. We carry each piece out from any room or floor, and anything in good shape goes to area charities when we can. A couch and a couple of chairs usually fits our Minimum Pickup tier, from $189.
Old furniture is the junk people step around the longest. The sectional that doesn't fit the living room anymore. The dresser that's been in the garage since the last move.
Getting it out yourself means tight turns, scraped walls and a sore back on the stairs. Then you still need a truck and somewhere to take it.
We do the carrying and the hauling, so you don't wrestle anything down a staircase. Send photos for a quote, pick a time, and we haul it off and sweep up.
What we can't take
Hazardous material stays off our trailer, and so do tires. Everything else is usually fine — text a photo if you're not sure.
- Wet paint and chemicals
- Motor oil
- Asbestos
- Ammunition
- Tires
- We don't move furniture to another room or another house. We haul it away.
- Built-in cabinets and shelving are part of the house, so pulling them out is light demolition and quoted per job.
- We can't promise any single piece will be accepted for donation. Charities set their own rules.
Where your stuff goes
Pieces in good shape go to area charities when they'll take them. Metal frames and hardware get pulled for recycling where we can. The rest is disposed of properly.
Swept before we pull out
Loading the trailer isn't the end of the job. We sweep the floor, slab or driveway before we leave, so the space is ready to use that day. You pay once you've looked it over.
How do you get a couch out without damaging the house?
Slowly, with the right gear and a plan for every turn. We bring dollies and straps, and we look at the path out before anything lifts.
When a piece won't make the turn, we take off legs, doors or cushions to get it through. The goal is your walls, door frames and floors looking the same after we leave.
If you're weighing the do-it-yourself route, our guide on how to get rid of a couch covers your options. It's honest about when hauling it yourself makes sense.
Can old furniture be donated instead of dumped?
If it's still in good shape, we try to get it donated instead of tossed. Usable pieces go to area charities, and it costs you nothing extra.
Charities are picky, and fair enough. Stains, tears, broken frames and heavy wear usually rule a piece out, and mattresses are turned down more often than anything else.
Want to drop off a piece yourself? See where to donate furniture in Collin County for what local groups say they take. Anything that can't be reused gets disposed of properly.
Mattresses, bedroom sets and the whole bedroom
A bedroom set is usually the biggest furniture job in a house. Headboard, frame, mattress, box spring, dresser and nightstands add up to real trailer space.
We take it all apart as needed and carry it out in one visit. If it's only the bed you're done with, our mattress pickup and disposal service covers that on its own.
Clearing a bedroom after a move, a downsize or a loss? We set aside anything you're keeping before we start loading.
How do you get ready for furniture pickup?
There isn't much to do on your end. A few small steps make the visit quicker, though.
- Empty drawers, cabinets and shelves of anything you're keeping.
- Tell us which pieces go and which stay, especially in a shared room.
- Mention stairs, tight turns or a storage unit gate code when you send photos.
- Leave room out front for a truck and a 14-foot trailer.
- Skip dragging anything to the garage or curb. We carry it from where it sits.
When does furniture removal make the most sense?
Most furniture calls come at a turning point in the house. A few of the common ones:
- Moving out, when the old couch isn't making the trip
- Furniture delivery day, when the old pieces have to go first
- Downsizing to a smaller place
- Clearing a parent's home, alongside an estate cleanout
- Emptying a storage unit you're done paying for
- Turning over a rental between tenants

- 02
Pick a time
Choose a time that works for you. Same-day service is often possible when the schedule has room.
- 03
We haul it off and sweep up
We confirm a firm price before anything is loaded. Then we carry it out, haul it off and sweep the spot.
Prefer a form? You can request a quote online and attach photos there.
“I especially loved that I was able to just send photos of my items and get a quote instantly vs the companies that want to “come see the stuff” before giving an estimate.”
What it costs
Furniture is priced by how much room it takes on the trailer, not by weight or stairs. A couch and a couple of chairs usually fits our Minimum Pickup, from $189. A full bedroom or home office cleared out is more like a Half Trailer Load, from $515.
Send photos for an honest estimate up front. We confirm a firm quote on site before anything is loaded, and it doesn't change after you say go. See all three trailer tiers on our pricing page.

Common questions
Will you take just one couch?
Yes. One couch, one recliner or one sectional is a normal job for us. It usually falls in our Minimum Pickup tier, from $189, and we confirm the firm quote before we lift it.
Do I need to get the furniture downstairs first?
No. Second floor, back bedroom or a storage unit are all fine. We bring dollies and straps, and stairs don't change the price.
Do you take heavy pieces like sleeper sofas and armoires?
Yes. Sleeper sofas, solid wood dressers and big armoires are exactly the pieces people don't want to carry themselves. We take them apart when it helps and bring a second set of hands for the stairs.
Can you pick up furniture today?
Same-day service is available when the schedule allows. Send photos early in the day and we'll tell you straight if there's room on the board.
Should I empty the drawers first?
Yes, please. Take out anything you want to keep from drawers, cabinets and shelves. Anything left inside is treated as part of the load.
Do you take furniture from apartments and rentals?
Yes. Landlords and property managers use us between tenants, and our rental turnover cleanouts cover a whole unit at once. Just let us know about stairs or gate codes ahead of time.
