I needed a dumpster for some remodeling work to dispose of debris like drywall, flooring, and appliances such as a microwave and dishwasher. A member of the community suggested this service. When I reached out to them, they responded promptly,…
We do light demolition across Plano, mostly built-ins, cabinets, decks and patio covers in the homes east of US-75. The tear-out and haul-off are quoted together, per job, from your photos. Plano is about 25 minutes from our base in McKinney.
Built-ins in the houses east of Central
The neighborhoods east of Central went up in the 1970s and 80s. Remodels there often start with the built-ins of that era, like shelving and old cabinet runs.
Our interior demolition crew pulls them out and hauls them away. If drywall or old flooring comes with them, that goes on the trailer too. Tell us what stays, like a fireplace mantel you're keeping.
Plano sends us more estate jobs than anywhere else we run. When a family is settling a long-held house, a dated kitchen or a wall of shelving sometimes comes out before it lists.
West of US-75, around Legacy West, the housing is denser and the calls lean toward remodel and move-out work.
Kitchens and appliances in the older houses
Appliance swaps come up a lot during Plano remodels. If the old dishwasher or range is leaving, it can ride out with the cabinets in one kitchen tear-out.
We unhook standard plug-in and water-line connections. A gas range that's hard-plumbed needs a plumber to disconnect it first.
Patio covers, gazebos and decks
Plano's permit handout lists sheds, gazebos, carports and patio covers as accessory buildings needing a permit. Decks carry their own thresholds for size, height and attachment.
Those rules mostly describe building, so ask the city about a teardown before the day comes. Pergola and gazebo removal and deck tear-outs are both light jobs we take on in Plano.
Send photos of a Plano patio cover or deck with these details. They line up with how the city sorts these structures.
Where a city requires a permit, it's usually pulled by the general contractor or the homeowner. If one is needed and nobody else is pulling it, we can usually pull it ourselves for an added fee that varies by city.
- How it attaches to the house, if it does
- Rough length and width
- Height above the ground
- Gate width and the path to the street
Why Plano's trash programs don't fit tear-out debris
Plano's bulky and special paid collections won't take sheds, building attachments, concrete, brick or roofing. Remodeling waste isn't allowed in the free resident drop-off either.
For contractor projects, the city wants waste taken straight to the 121 Regional Disposal Facility by the contractor or a permitted hauler. Above a set job value, the permit application also asks for a Solid Waste Removal subcontractor.
It's worth reading the city's list first, since a small, clean load might qualify somewhere. Anything past that, we haul.
Put simply, tear-out debris in Plano needs its own ride. Our light demolition service brings the trailer and takes it away.
How we quote a Plano tear-out
Plano demo jobs are quoted one at a time, since a wall of shelving and a full deck are different days. Photos of the area, a rough size and what's underneath get us most of the way.
You get an honest estimate from the photos, then a firm price on site before anything is pulled. Payment comes at the end, after you've looked it over.

Plano's bulky waste accepted items page shows where the city's pickup stops. Fence panels, brick and concrete only slip into a free drop-off as a small share of the load. A whole deck or a gutted kitchen is well past that.
We fill the space between the city's programs and a full contractor. You get the tear-out and the haul-off from one crew on the same trip. Our Plano area page and permits guide cover the rest.

Light Demolition in Plano: questions
Can you remove just the built-ins and leave the rest of the room?
Yes. Mark which pieces go and which stay when you send photos. We pull only what you mark and haul it off.
Will Plano's special paid collection take my old deck?
That program covers large debris from major household renovation, but it excludes building attachments, concrete and roofing. Check the city's list against your materials. Or send us photos and we'll haul the whole lot.
Do you work in the older Plano neighborhoods and around Legacy West?
Both. East of US-75 it's mostly built-ins, kitchens and backyard structures in houses from the 1970s and 80s. West of it, remodel tear-outs and move-out clearing are more common.
