Cowboy Site Services removes refrigerators, freezers, water heaters, ranges, dishwashers and laundry pairs from Frisco homes and hauls them off. We unhook standard plug-in and water-line connections and carry the unit out. One appliance usually fits our Minimum Pickup tier, from $189, and we're about 25 minutes from McKinney.
Swapping out the builder appliances
A lot of Frisco houses are ten or fifteen years in, and the original kitchen package is wearing out. The range, dishwasher and over-range microwave often get replaced together during a first real update.
We take the old set out in one trip. If cabinets are coming out too, our kitchen demolition work covers the tear-out, quoted per job.
Our main appliance removal page has more on how we protect floors and doorways.
Washer and dryer pairs from upstairs laundry rooms
Plenty of Frisco floor plans put the laundry room upstairs. Getting a front-loader down a carpeted staircase is where most do-it-yourself damage happens.
We shut off the water, pull the hoses and unplug the electric dryer. Then we take each unit down on a dolly, one stair at a time.
A washer that quit mid-cycle still holds water. Tell us if it never drained, since that changes how we move it.
Water heaters aren't a bulk item in Frisco
Frisco's bulk crew won't take hot water heaters or other enclosed metal containers. When a tank fails in the garage, it needs another route out.
We can unhook an electric unit and walk it out on a strapped dolly. Drain it first if you can, so it's lighter on the way out.
A gas water heater, range or dryer has to be disconnected by a licensed plumber before we arrive. After that, it leaves like any other unit.
Getting it to the curb is the hard part
Frisco's scheduled metal pickup only loads from the curb, and the crew has a short window per stop. That leaves the homeowner to move a fridge out of the kitchen alone.
We do the carry from wherever the unit sits, whether that's the kitchen, a second-floor laundry room or the back of the garage. Our refrigerator disposal guide lays out the other choices.
Garage fridges and chest freezers are the usual calls. Empty them before we come, and we'll carry them out shut.
- Side-by-side and French-door fridges
- Upright and chest freezers
- Wine coolers from a wet bar or game room
- Dishwashers, once the water line is shut off
- Electric dryers and stacked laundry units
Dropping it off at the Environmental Collection Center
Frisco residents can take metal for recycling to the Environmental Collection Center with a current water bill and matching ID. Items with Freon carry a charge added to the next utility bill.
You'll still need a truck, a helper and a free afternoon. We bring all three.
For a full kitchen swap, that can mean several trips. One visit from us covers the whole set.

Fridges and water heaters are off the regular bulk list. Frisco's metal recycling pickup form handles appliances on Thursdays, assumes a fridge holds refrigerant unless certified, and wants it emptied and taped shut.
That's workable if you can get the unit to the curb and book ahead. If not, we fill the gap by carrying it out on a day you choose. The full list of city rules is in our Frisco bulk trash guide.

Appliance Removal in Frisco: questions
Do I need refrigerant paperwork if you haul my Frisco fridge?
That paperwork is part of the city's curbside metal program. For our pickup, just empty the fridge and unplug it if you can. Keep the doors closed or taped, and we'll handle the rest.
Can you take appliances a contractor pulled during a Frisco remodel?
Yes. They can go out with the rest of the remodel debris on one trailer. Send photos of the whole pile so we can quote it together.
Do you pick up appliances in Allen too?
We do. Our Allen appliance removal page covers that city. The Frisco service area page lists everything else we haul here.
