I needed a dumpster for some remodeling work to dispose of debris like drywall, flooring, and appliances such as a microwave and dishwasher. A member of the community suggested this service. When I reached out to them, they responded promptly,…
Cowboy Site Services does appliance removal in Plano, TX, carrying out refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, ranges and water heaters. We unhook standard plug-in and water-line connections, and a single appliance usually fits the Minimum Pickup, from $189. We're about 25 minutes from our base in McKinney.
Appliance swaps are a big part of our Plano schedule
A lot of Plano's housing east of Central dates to the 1970s and 80s. Appliance swaps in those kitchens and laundry rooms are steady work for us, and the old units have to go somewhere.
Usually it's a swap. The replacement fridge or washer is on order, and the dead one is still sitting in its spot or parked in the garage.
We pull it out before the delivery, or after, whichever fits your day. Either way, the doorway and floors get the same care on the way out.
Why fridges and freezers are the hard part in Plano
Anything with refrigerant is treated differently here. Plano won't take a fridge, freezer or window unit on regular bulky day. It has to be booked as a paid special collection with an added fee.
Then you still have to drag it out to the curb by the right morning. For an upright freezer in a back garage, that's the part most people want help with.
When we haul one, there's no separate call and no fee from the city. It's carried out from where it stands and priced by trailer space like anything else.
Gas lines, water lines and what we disconnect
We shut off and pull standard water lines, like a washer's hoses or a fridge's ice maker line. Plug-in appliances are the easy part.
Some Plano houses run a gas range, dryer or water heater. Anything hard-plumbed into gas needs a plumber to cap it before we move it.
Not sure what's behind the unit? Send a photo of the hookup with your quote request, and we'll tell you straight.
Built-in ovens, cooktops and remodel leftovers
Plano remodels turn up appliances people forget about. Wall ovens, drop-in cooktops, trash compactors and old built-in microwaves come out when 1980s cabinets do.
Those can ride along with the rest of the tear-out. Our page on construction junk removal in Plano covers the debris side of that job.

Getting ready for an appliance pickup
There isn't much to do before we arrive. A few small steps keep the carry quick and clean.
- Empty the fridge or freezer the day before.
- Turn the water off at the valve if you can reach it.
- Clear a path through the garage or laundry room.
- Tell us about stairs, tight halls or a gate code.
- Mention a gas hookup so it's capped before the day.

Plano's bulky collection does take stoves, washers, dryers and water heaters, as long as they're out on the right day. Refrigerant items are the exception, and Plano's special paid collection page explains how those get booked. State rules also keep them out of ordinary landfill disposal.
We fill the gap when you'd rather not wait for a date or move it yourself. Our main appliance removal service explains what we disconnect, and the Plano bulk trash and brush pickup guide covers the city route in full.

Appliance Removal in Plano: questions
Can you take the old garage fridge in Plano without me scheduling anything with the city?
Yes. We carry it out of the garage and take it from there, with no special collection booking on your end. Empty it first, and tape the doors shut if you like.
Will you take a washer and dryer from an upstairs laundry room?
We will. Mention the stairs when you send photos, and tell us if the dryer runs on gas so it can be capped first.
How much is it to haul two or three appliances from a Plano kitchen?
A fridge, range and dishwasher together may fit the Minimum Pickup, from $189, or edge toward the Half Trailer Load. If they ride with remodel debris, the whole load is priced by trailer space.
