Backyard Reset: Hot Tub, Trampoline, Playset or Pool

Cowboy Site Services takes down and hauls off old hot tubs, trampolines, playsets and above-ground pools across Collin and Grayson County. Hot tub, trampoline and playset removal starts from $515, pools are quoted from photos, and we confirm the price before work starts. We remove above-ground pools only and don't do in-ground pools.

When is it time for a backyard reset?

Backyard gear has a life cycle. The trampoline was the center of every birthday party, and now the mat is torn and the springs are rusty.

The hot tub that got used every weekend now sits under a cover nobody lifts. The playset hasn't heard a kid's voice in a few summers.

At some point, the old stuff is taking up the yard you'd rather use. A garden, a patio, a dog run or plain grass all need that space.

Why do it between seasons?

The stretch between summer and spring is a good window. Nobody's swimming, the kids aren't on the trampoline, and the yard isn't in use.

Clearing it now means the space is ready when the weather turns warm again. You can plan the next project instead of staring at the last one.

It also gets the eyesore gone before guests or buyers see it. If you're thinking about selling, an empty backyard reads better than a broken trampoline.

How does hot tub removal work?

The power has to be off first. If the tub is hardwired, have an electrician shut off and disconnect it before we come, since we don't do electrical work.

Then the tub gets drained. If there's a wide, clear path to the driveway, the shell can sometimes come out whole.

Most backyards don't have that path, so we cut the tub down on site and carry it out in pieces. Our guide on how to get rid of a hot tub walks through each step.

What about trampolines and playsets?

We take them apart, load them up and haul them off. A trampoline comes down to a stack of steel rails, springs and a mat.

Wooden playsets come apart from the top down, with slides and swings first. Tell us if any posts are set in concrete, because that can change the job.

Swing sets, climbing frames and old basketball goals come apart the same way. Our hot tub, trampoline and playset removal page covers what's included.

Can you take down an above-ground pool?

Yes. We take down above-ground pools, load them up and haul them off, so you get your space back. That covers the liner, walls, rails, frame, ladders and the old pump and filter.

The water has to be out before we arrive, and draining is on you. Cities have rules about where pool water can go, and our guide to above-ground pool removal covers draining.

We don't do in-ground pools of any kind. If your pool is set into the ground, it's a job for a different kind of contractor.

What's left when the job is done?

Once everything is on the trailer, we clean up the spot before we leave. Loose hardware, scraps and debris go with the load.

Expect a patch of bare dirt or dead grass where a pool, tub or trampoline sat. That's normal, and it's yours to reseed, sod or turn into something else.

We don't regrade or level the yard, and concrete pads that need heavy equipment aren't part of the job. Mention a pad in your photos so we can talk it through.

What should you send for a quote?

A few photos tell us most of what we need. Size, access and what's around the item are what change the work.

  • The whole item from a couple of angles.
  • Any deck, steps, fencing or surround built around it.
  • The path from the backyard to the driveway, including gates.
  • Whether a hot tub or pool pump is plugged in or hardwired.
  • Any posts or pads set in concrete.

How is a backyard tear-down priced?

Hot tubs, trampolines and playsets start from $515, priced by trailer space. Above-ground pools are quoted per job, since a soft-sided pool and a steel-walled one aren't the same work.

Send photos and we'll quote the tear-down and the haul-off together. We confirm the price before we start, and you pay at the end once you're satisfied.

If you've already taken something apart yourself, hauling off the pieces is priced by how much trailer space the load takes.

Do it all in one trip

Backyard resets often come in pairs. The pool goes and the deck around it follows, or the trampoline goes and the old shed comes down too.

One crew, one quote and one trip is easier than lining up separate jobs. Our above-ground pool removal service can be quoted together with a hot tub, playset or deck.

If a shed or playset is part of the plan, our shed and playset removal guide covers what to expect.

Ready to get the yard back?

The plan is the same as every job we do. Send photos for a quote, pick a time, and we haul it off and sweep up.

We work Monday through Saturday, 9 to 6, across Collin and Grayson County. Same-day service is offered when available, though bigger tear-downs usually get scheduled.
