Prompt, Polite, and Professional. Mike & Daniel did a great job and were a huge help. We had numerous piles of assorted household and yard junk for them to remove and the grabbed it all in about half an hour.…
Cowboy Site Services hauls off limbs, loose brush, bagged leaves and storm debris in Melissa, TX, without making you cut or tie anything. We're about 12 minutes from our base in McKinney. A small pile starts at our Minimum Pickup tier, from $189, and bigger acreage loads are quoted by trailer space.
Two kinds of yard jobs in Melissa
Melissa splits two ways. Inside the subdivisions, a yard job is usually a trimmed hedge line, a few bags of leaves and some branches from the last wind.
Out on the acreage around the edges of town, the piles get serious. Storms drop whole limbs across a pasture fence, and a cleanup weekend can leave brush mixed with old scrap metal.
Our brush and limb hauling loads both the same way. Point at the pile, and it goes on the trailer whether it's bagged, loose or tangled. Further up US-75, we do the same for yard cleanups in Anna.
After a storm rolls through
Limbs already on the ground are straightforward truck-and-trailer work. We pick them up from the yard, the drive or the fence line and haul them off.
A tree that still needs cutting, or a big clearing job, is different. Those may need rented or subcontracted equipment, so we quote them with the machine included and don't promise same-day.
Our post on storm debris cleanup in Collin County walks through what to do first. Then send us photos of what's left.
How a brush pickup goes, start to finish
It starts with a few photos of the pile from two sides, so we can judge the trailer space. You'll get an honest estimate back, and the firm price is confirmed on site before we load.
Pick a day that works, Monday through Saturday. Melissa's short drive means smaller piles are easy to add to a day we're already up that way.
We pick up the stray sticks left where the pile sat, and sweep the drive if it's on concrete. Then you pay, once you're satisfied with how the ground looks.
Can you take the scrap and junk sitting next to the brush?
Yes. Rural lots tend to collect rusted metal, broken lawn furniture and odds and ends near the brush pile. All of it can ride on one trailer.
Bagged trash, an old mower with the gas drained, or a stack of rotted boards can join the load too. One visit, one quote by trailer space.
If the pile is mostly household junk with a few limbs mixed in, our general junk removal works the same way. Everything else we do in town is on our Melissa service area page.
What does Melissa's brush pickup require?

- Melissa's FAQ says there is no limit to the number of brush bundles residents may put out.Source: City of Melissa — Utility Billing Bulk Items FAQ (retrieved 2026-10-09)

- Melissa residents must pay the posted gate rate for brush and yard waste at NTMWD facilities because the city does not participate in the compost program.Source: City of Melissa — NTMWD 121 Regional Landfill (retrieved 2026-10-09)
Melissa's curbside crew takes brush only when it's bundled, per the City of Melissa's bulk items page, and loose brush stays at the curb. The good news is there's no cap on the number of bundles. The catch is cutting and tying every limb to size, then waiting for collection.
Hauling it yourself has a cost too, since Melissa's landfill page says residents pay the posted gate rate for brush at NTMWD sites. We skip the saw, the twine and the trip, and take it loose. Our Melissa bulk trash and brush pickup guide covers the city side.

Yard Debris Removal in Melissa: questions
Is there a dump station in Melissa for brush?
NTMWD's 121 Regional Disposal Facility is in Melissa, but the city says residents pay the gate rate there for brush and yard waste. Many people would rather have the pile loaded and gone in one visit.
Will you clear brush from acreage outside the subdivisions?
Yes. Send photos showing the size of the pile and how close the truck can get. Large clearing work that needs a machine is quoted separately, without a same-day promise.
Do I have to bundle limbs before you come?
No. Bundling is a city curbside rule, not ours. Leave the brush loose, and we'll load it from where it sits.
